Creating Non-Commercial User-Generated Content
This new exception for content generated for non-commercial purposes permits a student or faculty member the right to use copyrighted published works (print and/or digital) to create a new work or user-generated content (UGC). UGC can be publicly disseminated via the Internet.
UGC must be for non-commercial purposes, and must not interfere with the market for the original work(s). The sources must be cited and all of the original or existing works used to create the UGC must be legally acquired.
